A Polar Analytics alternative: when Basketly
Polar Analytics is an e-commerce analytics platform that joins data from many sources and calculates attribution. Basketly is simpler and does less: it shows the shop’s sales next to ad spend, calculates MER and delivers purchases to platforms. It has no multi-touch attribution model.

|---|---|---|
| What it is | An app for the shop: purchases from orders, a sales report with MER, feeds, campaigns | An e-commerce analytics platform: data from many sources, BI, AI agents |

| Where sales data comes from | Shop orders through the API: Shoper, IdoSell, BaseLinker, WooCommerce, Shopify | Connectors (Shopify named as central) and its own pixel |
| Platform figures | Kept apart by each platform’s attribution window, never added together | Not described on the pages we read |
| Sending purchases to platforms | Meta, GA4, TikTok, Pinterest, ChatGPT Ads, Klaviyo, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads | An Advertising Signals add-on: conversions to Google Ads and Meta via CAPI |

Attribution vs a plain picture of sales
Polar describes calculating which channel “earned” an order by joining customer paths across many touchpoints. That helps with large budgets across many channels. A smaller shop often needs a simpler answer: how much the shop sold, how much it spent on ads and how their ratio (MER) moved against the previous period.
What you get with Basketly
- A sales report compared with the previous period: revenue, orders, buyers, spend, MER.
- Every figure labelled with where it comes from: the shop, the platform (by its attribution window) or Basketly (last click).
- A channel table: ad platforms and order sources side by side, without adding up platforms’ claims.
- Costs outside ad platforms can be typed in by hand.
- Purchases from orders delivered to platforms, in the same app.
How to check whether it is enough
- Connect the shop and ad accounts to Basketly.
- Open Reports and compare the last 30 days with the previous 30.
- Check whether “how much did we sell, how much did we spend, what is MER” is enough to decide.
- If you need a multi-touch model, stay with a tool that calculates one.
When Basketly is the better pick
- You want a simple sales report with MER and a comparison with the previous period.
- Your shop runs on Shoper, IdoSell, BaseLinker or WooCommerce.
- You also want purchases delivered to platforms and feeds in the same tool.
When Polar (or similar) is the better pick
- You need multi-touch attribution or incrementality tests.
- You run a Shopify shop and want a data warehouse with hundreds of connectors.
- You have a budget for a tool priced individually and a team that uses it.
What Basketly does not do
- It has no multi-touch attribution model and no incrementality tests.
- MER is shop revenue divided by spend; it does not say which ad sold an order.
- Meta accepting a purchase does not prove a campaign optimises on it or that an ad gets the credit.

Not for attribution. For a plain picture of sales, spend and MER it may be enough. If you need multi-touch attribution, stay with a tool that calculates it.
Shop revenue divided by ad spend in the same period. It does not assign orders to ads; it shows the ratio of the whole to the whole.
The page polaranalytics.com/pricing on 29 Oct 2026 shows no amounts; it offers Core and Custom plans and a conversation with the team. Ask the vendor for the price.
