Product image: http address, missing and single image
A product has an image on an http address, only one image or none. Some of this is an error, some only a tip. Basketly shows which products are affected, but it does not fix images: that is shop work.
The demo has sample data; the login comes to your e-mail.
The message you see
Messages about a missing or invalid [image_link], such as an unsupported image type; wording varies with the interface version.
Google Merchant Center → Products → Diagnostics; Meta Commerce Manager, catalogue diagnostics.
What Basketly does
Basketly flags a missing image and an invalid address (errors) and an http address and no additional images (tips). It fixes none of it automatically and does not check image size.
Why a platform flags it
The image is what a buyer sees in the ad, so without it the product makes no sense. Google does not accept placeholder images and refuses images that are too small or in the wrong format. Google accepts an http address, but https is safer for the page and browsers.
How Basketly handles it
- Products: checks for a missing image and an invalid image address (errors) and an http address and no additional images (tips).
- It does not fix images automatically: neither the address nor the number of views.
- It does not check the size in pixels, the file format or whether the image is a placeholder.
- Image templates can draw a new image from product data and a feed rule can replace image_link with it, but that is a separate decision.
How to fix product images by hand
Start with products that have an error, then the tips.
Add missing images
Add an image showing the product itself, not a placeholder.
Correct the address
The address should start with https:// and lead to an image file. Open it in a browser to check.
Check size and format
Use JPEG, PNG or WebP at least 500 × 500 pixels.
Add more views
Give extra photos from other sides of the product in additional_image_link.
What Basketly does not do
- It does not check image size, format or content.
- It does not add or change images in the shop.
- It does not guarantee approval.

Google accepts http and https. Basketly shows http as its own tip, not an error, because https is safer.
For approval, yes. The tip about extra images is that more views help a buyer and the platform.
