Omnibus: lowest price in 30 days
Definition: Omnibus is the common name of EU Directive 2019/2161. It added Article 6a to Directive 98/6/EC: when a price reduction is announced, the prior price is the lowest price applied during a period of not less than 30 days before the reduction. Details of how it applies depend on national law.
Showing a struck-through “old price” is not enough. It must be a price you may call the prior price under this rule.
Also called: Omnibus Directive, prior price rule, lowest price of the last 30 days

Why it matters for a shop
Graphics with “-30%” and a struck price are a legal risk when the prior price is inflated. A shop must know the lowest price of the period before the reduction and state it. That is the shop’s responsibility, not the ad’s.
How Basketly handles it
- Image templates: the struck price, discount and saving are counted from lowest_price when a product has it; the 30-day lowest price line is filled.
- Without the attribute graphics use the regular price, as before.
- You must supply lowest_price yourself, with a feed rule or in the shop’s feed.

What Omnibus: lowest price in 30 days does not do
- This is not legal advice and does not check whether a shop meets its national-law duty.
- Basketly does not track the shop’s price history.
The directive concerns announcing price reductions to consumers. Details and exceptions follow national law, so check with a lawyer.
It does not. It uses the lowest_price attribute, supplied by the shop’s feed or a feed rule.
The graphic counts the reduction from the regular price and the lowest-price line is hidden.
