Merchant Center misrepresentation
Definition: Misrepresentation is a Google Merchant Center policy about listings and destinations that, in Google’s words, deceive users by excluding relevant product information or providing misleading information. It prohibits offers that push customers into a purchase without disclosing key information, and offers that misstate the shop or its products.
This is a policy about the whole shop and its honesty, not about a single attribute in a file. That is why fixing the feed alone does not remove it.
Also called: misrepresentation policy, Merchant Center suspension, Google Merchant Center suspension

Why it matters for a shop
A suspended account stops every product at once. The causes usually lie outside the feed: return policy, company details, delivery costs, mismatches between the page and the price in the file. So walk the whole site as a customer before you file an appeal.
How Basketly handles it
- Basketly’s product checks cover product data (title, price, availability, identifiers). They do not assess the return policy, company details or other whole-shop policies.
- Matching the price and availability in the feed to the page is on your side: the panel can point to a product, but it does not verify the page.

What Merchant Center misrepresentation does not do
- Basketly does not detect misrepresentation violations and cannot lift an account suspension.
- A correct feed does not guarantee reinstatement or product approval.
Usually not by the file alone. Google asks you to fix the shop and listings, remove violating products and request a review.
Per Google you use it only after removing all violating offers; submitting with violations risks an immediate failure.
No. A missing GTIN is a separate product-data issue that lowers visibility; it does not suspend an account.
